5 TOUCHSCREEN GLOVES FOR COMMUTERS

WARM TOUCHSCREEN GLOVES FOR COMMUTERS

When I am commuting during the colder months, I really struggle with cold hands.

I leave home when its dark, my car steering wheel is freezing cold and I shiver uncontrollably at the train station, waiting for a train which feels like it’s never going to arrive.

In recent years I’ve become a big fan of wearing gloves, but they’re annoying as I need to keep removing them to use my cellphone.

The solution: buy touchscreen gloves – gloves which have been treated with a particular material that make them compatible with cellphones.

To help my fellow commuters, I’ve gone and located 5 pairs of touchscreen gloves which will make your life just that little bit better.

What to consider when buying a pair of touchscreen gloves for commuting:

  • Warmth: The quality of the material, inner lining and overall thickness play an important part in overall glove warmth
  • Bulk: Thicker gloves (like ski or motorcycle gloves) will be far too bulky and will need to be taken off to do things such as handle train tickets or access a smartphone
  • Durability: A good quality set of gloves can last you for years.
  • Weatherproof: Wet hands = cold hands
  • Touch screen fingertips: There’s different types of treatments applied to gloves to make them touch screen friendly, some function better than others

Note: This list is primarily for train, bus and car commuters. Some of these gloves will suit bicycle commuters but given their high exposure to weather, bike commuters usually have different needs.
